Anastasia Douglas
Staff Director & Senior Policy Analyst
Since joining FOCUS in 2012, Anastasia Douglas has worked as a legislative and regulatory analyst for a diverse group of clientele and issues including transaction and income taxes, environment, waste management, business formation, estate planning, healthcare and product stewardship. She is also responsible for the training and management of the FOCUS part time staff, who assist FOCUS analysts during the peak legislative season, and leads Quality Control efforts for FOCUS products. Prior to joining FOCUS, Anastasia worked for environmental nonprofit organizations, drafting FOIA requests and research memoranda, and for the Vermont Secretary of State’s Office of Professional Regulation, where she drafted complaints, motions and briefs. Anastasia was born and raised in New York. She graduated from the State University of New York at Plattsburgh in 2007, where she studied political science and received a Juris Doctor and Master in Environmental Law and Policy from Vermont Law School in 2011, both with honors. Anastasia was admitted to the Vermont bar in 2011. She is a board member of Disability Rights Vermont and was recently chosen to serve on the Vermont Developmental Disabilities Council. Outside of the office Anastasia enjoys reading and spending time with family.
